Meditation Group will be held at Blue Mounds State Park Saturday, July 21. We will be leaving Sioux Falls at 1:00pm. Meditation Group fee waived, $5.00 per carload to enter park. RSVP at least one week in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org or 605.759.7459 to coordinate carpool. Bring hydration, sunscreen and a sun hat. Artist Greg DenOtter will be providing customized walking stick gifts to participants.
Yin and Restorative Yoga August 15, 5:45-6:45pm. Class will begin with Yin poses. The intention of a yin pose is to be practiced in a relaxed manner. Yin yoga works deep into the connective tissues to assist in activating change at the deepest level. The second half of class will consist of Restorative Yoga. Restorative Yoga is the balance to an active asana practice, however it’s not really passive, it’s receptive. Class consists of setting up in certain shapes that allow your nervous system to relax.

Asana is one of the eight limbs of classical yoga which states that asana should be steady and comfortable, firm yet relaxed. I am looking forward to teaching yoga this evening via the Zoom platform that has been a safeguard platform since March. We meet with a good mind. Movement comes from spirit. As I feel this delightful enthusiasm to teach class I am reminded and share, with a regular energy or yoga practice you tap into the energy source within you. This evenings class will begin with a singing bowl meditation, tapping into harmony within. Followed with a let’s go, let go warm warmup, a few strength challenges, and then flowing into a Shakti sequence connecting with your divine light and energy.
