Nourish your mind, body and spirit while connecting with your strength and flexibility through mindful practice.
Move your spirit, Move your body
When I took my instructor training our instructor asked each of us which pose we wanted to master. To my surprise most of the class said headstand. I used to stand on my head regularly and for lengths of time when I was a child and I do not have a proper explanation for this. Standing on my head is still easy for me. The pose I wanted to master was dancer pose. It is not a pose that comes easy to me and I know I need to retrain my muscles to move into this asana. I keep practicing. Today during my yoga practice, as yoga so beautifully informs, I lifted and extended my chest and felt my back foot lift higher. I was smiling inside and out having such a heart opening experience. I am looking forward to teaching yoga this evening via the Zoom platform that has been a safeguard platform since March. We meet with a good mind. Movement comes from spirit. As I feel this delightful enthusiasm to teach class I am reminded and share, with a regular energy or yoga practice you tap into the energy source within you. This evenings class will begin with a singing bowl meditation, tapping into harmony within. Followed with a let’s go, let go warm warmup, a few strength challenges, and then flowing into a Shakti sequence connecting with your divine light and energy. Registration required 24 hours prior to class at email@example.com Class price $12.00 or punch card purchase. See website for more information. Namaste, Jill Moncur
