Stress impacts our daily lives. Left unchecked, stress leads to a host of health problems that affect your body, mood, and behavior. In this workshop, we discuss the ways to combat stress in our daily lives. The majority of this workshop will be spent in yoga poses and practices that put the body in a state of relaxation, allowing your systems to heal and rejuvenate. This workshop includes a short discussion and lecture, followed by gentle warm up, several relaxing poses that are supported with props, and ends with Yoga Nidra.

Ayurveda, or "science of life" is a natural healing method designed to enhance your yoga practice. Learn how to improve your daily routines, diet, and behaviors to maximize your vitality and health. This workshop will include lecture and discussion about the basic concepts of Ayurveda. Additionally, students will practice asana and learn additional Ayurvedic choices that will help to support a healthy lifestyle.

Learn the energetic world of the Chakras, as written about in the Yoga Sutras, the Upanishads, and many modern philosophies. Chakras impact our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This workshop incorporates many therapeutic modalities, in addition to yoga, as a method for exploring one's own chakra system.

Inversions Workshop

Inversions, or getting one's head above the heart, is a wonderful practice to reduce hypertension, high blood pressure, and stress. The "King" and "Queen" poses of inversions are Headstand and Shoulder Stand. This workshop will include lecture and discussion about the benefits of inversions, particularly Headstand and Shoulder Stand. Students will also practice inversions of a variety of levels of difficulty; attendants of the workshop will be asked to participate at their own comfort and level of ability.
