Unity of the Great Plains
Unity Spiritual Book Study meets every Wednesday evening from 7:30-9:00pm, beginning December 2 at East Bank Yoga. Current book selection is “Unity: A Quest for Truth,” by Eric Butterworth. December classes will focus on healing. In January, we will begin a new book study. Everyone is welcome at all meetings, regardless if they have experience in Unity or has read the selection for that day.
Unity is a spiritual philosophical movement within the wider New Thought movement and is best known to many through its Daily Word devotional publication. Unity is described as a "positive, practical approach to Christianity" which "teaches the effective daily application of the principles of Truth taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ" and promotes "a way of life that leads to health, prosperity, happiness, and peace of mind.”
The five basic principles are: (1) God is Good, everywhere present, (2) Jesus Christ is a model human and our way-shower, (3) Our thoughts produce our reality, (4) Prayer is our link with the creative life force of God, and (5) To live successful lives, we must apply these principles, not just study them.

I am looking forward to teaching yoga this evening via the Zoom platform that has been a safeguard platform since March. We meet with a good mind. Movement comes from spirit. As I feel this delightful enthusiasm to teach class I am reminded and share, with a regular energy or yoga practice you tap into the energy source within you. This evenings class will begin with a singing bowl meditation, tapping into harmony within. Followed with a let’s go, let go warm warmup, a few strength challenges, and then flowing into a Shakti sequence connecting with your divine light and energy. Registration required 24 hours prior to class at email@example.com Class price $12.00 or punch card purchase. See website for more information. Namaste, Jill Moncur
